death by husband, Robert; son, Alden; parents, Frank & Jenny Azemove;
sisters, Sarah Rosen and Rose Kaner; sisters-in-law, Edith Felzer, Lee
Guerwitz and Rose Berman; son-in-law, Richard J. FitzGerald; former sons-in-law,
Ronald Chessen and Thomas Kassmir. Survived by daughters, Beverly FitzGerald
and Sylvia (Samuel) Kaplan; daughter-in-law, Judy Silverman. Grandchildren,
Michael (Ilana) Chessen, Rick (Sonia) Chessen, Kerri (Mark) Lehmann, Jill
Chessen (Daniel Cohen), Jamie (Michelle) Kassmir, Gregory (Danielle) Kassmir,
Cori (Robert) Sargenti, Darcy (Etai) Bar-On, Ryan, Jeffrey, Tiffany and
Amanda Silverman, Robin (Jeffrey) Faust and Ronald (Julie) Kaplan; Shawne
FitzGerald (John Norblom), Kathleen FitzGerald (David Hitchcock), Sharron
FitzGerald (Randy Herman) and Rick (Pauline) FitzGerald. Great-grandchildren,

FitzGerald. Sister, Beatrice Cowle; brother, Alan (Judy) Azemove;
brother-in-law, David (Elayne) Silverman; special extended family, Mary
Chessen and Judy Thomas, Minnie and Gordon Singer and devoted nieces and
nephews. Helen was immensely proud of her large and inclusive family, and
they were devoted to her. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren loved to
listen to her stories about the early days, and they all knew by heart her
primary story which was her lifelong love affair with Bob, whom she met when
she was 17, living in Superior, Wisconsin, and he rode the rails to visit his
cousin, Ida. From that day forward, until his death in 1991, they were
partners in every aspect of life. Raising their three children, and in their
various adventures and businesses, they were always a team, never separated.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Knollwood Place, Roitenberg Residence,
and Sholom Home West. Funeral service THURSDAY 10 AM at SHIR TIKVAH
CONGREGATION, 5000 Girard Ave. S., Mpls. Memorials are preferred to the Helen
